Coming up May 6th, it’s Wake ‘n’ Shake…Houston’s newest way to dance into your day!!!!! More details to come!
Grahamaphone After 20 years in the music industry working behind the scenes, I decided I wanted to come out and be the guy on stage. It was around this time I discovered Electro Swing. Mostly European in nature, the music spoke to me as it combined classic jazz with new beats. It's eclectic, quirky and most of all, fun. It doesn't take itself too seriously. That was in 2011, and I've been a part of this scene, both here and in Europe, ever since. While on tour in the UK I was exposed to Ghetto Funk, a hybrid of 60's era soul, 70's funk, 80's Old School Hip Hop all mixed with the sounds and beats of today. I now spin G. Funk as often as E. Swing!!

I’ll be playing out with my new gear for the first time July 25th as part of the Houston CORE (it’s a Burning Man thing) fundraiser speakeasy. Location is a secret right now but if you PM me I will let you know.
I’ll be playing at the Electro Vaudeville Festival in mid-May alongside Good Co, Sweet Life Society and Dutty Moonshine. I’m very excited! It’s been a tough early 2014, this is a great way to turn things around!
With the closing of and well delayed re-opening of Prohibition here in Houston, whatever steady money I had is all gone now. It was a rough January with only one paying gig the whole month. This month is a little better as I have one payer this week and one towards the end of the month, but times are thin. I do have a couple of really cool shows coming up although these are for the love of the art, not to pay bills. The one this Saturday is with the SDC guys and I always have fun with them, and the other is right before the Austin gig at Jet Lounge which will be a new club and new crowd for me, I’m really looking forward to seeing if ES will take off finally in Houston.
I want to plan a West Coast tour. Ideally it would take me from L.A. to S.F. to Portland and finally to Seattle. Anyone want to recommend venues?
2014 is here and so here is what I plan to do year in the world of Grahamaphone…
Play out of Texas more, I plan to play in Chicago, NYC, Los Angeles, SF/OAK and Seattle.
Produce and release my first original track.
Get back over to the UK and hopefully some other countries in Europe as well.
Build my Austin residency into a true event.
It’s a lot of work but time is always ticking, and this won’t last forever!
Onward!
I honestly didn’t want to do it but I signed up for Twitter mostly due to Facebooks recent fan page manipulations. It’s linked below.
Looks like my January is fairly open. I have only one confirmed gig so far, and I would love to pick up a few more. Let me know of you hear of anything!
